Acu / Tui Na Combo

Sliding Scale $90 - $180 Receive both Acupuncture & Tui Na in one session lasting 75 minutes. Tui Na is a form of Chinese massage incorporating acupoints and meridians. Depending on the diagnosis, pressure can be light or deep, with slow or fast strokes. Tui Na is a system of massage originating in China, involving the manipulation of Qi along pathways to relieve stagnation, relieve pain, and provide full-body support. Tui Na can be done in conjunction with an acupuncture treatment or on its own. As we are an integrative health center, your practitioner may also recommend herbs, acupuncture, exercise and other modalities for your continued amazing health.

Chinese Herbal Consultation

Sliding Scale Fee $20 - $40: Chinese herbal medicine developed thousands of years ago. In this tradition, herbs are prescribed in combinations. Instead of taking one herb for your condition, you'll receive a formula, made up of usually about 6-10 different plants. Many of the formulas we'll give you are the same prescriptions that have been used for thousands of years, and they've been proven both safe and effective.

Initial Session - Private Acupuncture

Please select this option only if it is your first time seeing an acupuncturist at Third Root. Sliding Scale $70 - $130 (includes a one-time $10 paper work fee). Required for all new patients - this additional 30 minutes allows time for paper work and consultation with your practitioner. Private sessions take place in one of our three treatment rooms. This privacy allows patients to disrobe when appropriate, and practitioners to access affected body areas easily. Patients receive the benefit of one-on-one attention from their practitioner, and may be able to receive moxibustion (a therapy in which compressed herbs are burned and used indirectly to gently warm acupuncture points), cupping (a treatment using glass cups to create local suction on affected areas, relieving pain and stagnation), and other modalities along with acupuncture.

Deep Tissue Massage (60 min)

Sliding Scale Fee $60 - $120: Deep tissue can be more intense and specific to areas of the body, using techniques such as trigger point therapy and myofascial release to address specific health concerns. The treatment for these modalities will overall be more therapeutic and less relaxing, but all treatments combine some element of both.
