He completed his internship in general surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, and then conducted his residency in anesthesiology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, also in New York City. Before completing his fellowship in pain management at the University of Chicago, Dr. Boolbol took time to earn an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago.
