About Restored Pathways Family Counseling Collective:
Our mission is to provide compassionate and comprehensive mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, and families in need. We are committed to fostering healing, growth, and well-being by offering evidence-based treatments and personalized care. Our dedicated team of highly skilled therapists strives to create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes positive change, restoration and empowers our clients to overcome challenges. Through collaboration, empathy, and respect, we aim to support individuals in enhancing their mental health, building resilience, and achieving meaningful and fulfilling lives. Together, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the mental health of our community and promoting a society where mental wellness is prioritized and stigma is eliminated. Some of the services we provide: Play Therapy - Play therapy is a modality and tool used to help children articulate their emotions and internal experiences. Utilizing toys creates a safe environment to express big events they have gone through in their life and gives insight into inner turmoil allowing for therapists to deeply. Potential benefits for play therapy are: increased empathy and awareness of others needs, develop coping strategies, increase creative problem solving, alleviate anxiety, increase self respect, stronger social skills and strong family relationships. EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is a treatment model created to aid with decreasing emotional distress after a traumatic event/memories. EMDR is the process of transforming and reprocessing distressing or traumatic memories in a way that allows an individual to gain new perspectives, understanding, and emotional responses that are more constructive and less distressing. We use a vivid visual image associated with the traumatic memory, identify a negative belief about oneself linked to that memory and associated somatic sensations experienced when thinking about the traumatic event. Potential benefits include the ability to access the past traumatic memory without the physical and emotional feelings taking over, the ability to access the memory but cope with it in a healthier way and move to a state of emotional and mental well being and healing. Psychodynamic Therapy - The purpose of psychodynamic therapy is to find a pattern of thoughts, emotions and behaviors to increase insight and awareness into the clients sense of self. Many times our self narratives are created in childhood based on our experiences which are highly influential into the psychological development of each person. Healing can take place when we are able to connect our experiences in childhood and the development of our personalities, how we cope and relate to others. Social Skills Group - There can be various challenges and stressors impacting children and adolescents including parent and/or peer conflicts, family challenges, academic expectations and building positive peer relationships. Have you noticed your child displaying or expressing a sense of sadness and isolation or hope that your child would be happier? Children and teens often feel that “no one gets me” and don’t want to “burden others'' with their problems and concerns. We can relate to those feelings and associated pressures from outside expectations and influences, anxiety and restless nights, we can understand and bring a sense of relief. Build a sense of confidence and positive sense of self to reduce anxious feelings or bring back a sense of joy and happiness. We will create a safe space for kids to process challenges and gain effective coping skills that reduce associated symptoms, improve overall emotional wellbeing for life successes.I have a deep passion for giving the same respect and privacy to children as we provide to adults. Parenting Classes - Parents are often exhausted from your home and daily routines being disrupted by your child’s meltdowns. Have you heard yourself ask “Why are you behaving like this” or “How many times do I have to ask you?” Parenting is a life-long journey that brings both joys and challenges. Whether you are dealing with tantrums, aggressive behaviors, your children not following directions, or have concerns for your child’s social skills and academic success, know you are not alone. Our goal as your therapist is to support you and your role as a parent by building skills and confidence to support your role as a parent. We will work collaboratively with you and your unique needs utilizing positive and preventive parenting skills that have been found to reduce behavioral challenges and build supportive and loving parent-child relationships.
