2018 Cuvée Pinot Noir

Overview: Available in large format bottles. Winemaker's Notes: Cuvée is a blend of five different clones: 115, 23, Pomard, 777 and 667. Each clone is harvested, fermented and aged separately before the final blend is established. These clones were planted in 2009 on our winery site located on Los Amigos Road, Healdsburg, Sonoma County in the Russian River Valley. This four acre vineyard is farmed organically and certified CCOF. Tasting Notes: An emboldened expression of a Burgundian Pinot Noir. Rich oak notes of caramel, honey pecan, and fennel complement expected fruit aromas of dark cherry, orange and violet. Medium plus mouthfeel. A fruit driven nose balanced properly by earthy, roasted flavors. Pairs well with grilled vegetables and meats, hearty appetizers and flatbreads. Overview: 93 Points - James Suckling; 90 Points - Wine Enthusiast; Silver - 2018 Harvest Challege. Winemaker's Notes: Our Estate grown Pinot Noir is a test vineyard, located just off the Russian River on Limerick Lane. This .75 acre vineyard was established in 2008 after grafting existing vines. Dijon clones from the Burgundy region of France (clones 667 and 777) were introduced. This small parcel has been duplicated at a second vineyard site, four acres of Pinot Noir clone 667, 777, 115, and 23, all planted in 2009. Tasting Notes: Handcrafted from a single vineyard with aromas of a bouquet of flowers, baking spices and black cherry. A soft and silky texture on the palate, it tastes like fresh berry jam on warm toast with a long finish of chocolate pie covered with whipped cream. Winemaker's Notes: Our Estate grown Pinot Noir is a test vineyard, located just off the Russian River on Limerick Lane. This .75 acre vineyard was established in 2008 after grafting existing vines. Dijon clones from the Burgundy region of France (clones 667 and 777) were introduced. Tasting Notes: Full, rich and layered, with a firm and fleshy core of well-integrated dark fruit and spice. Great intensity and focus. Ending with a long and complex finish.
