About Center for Awareness:
Edward L. Deatherage, PhD is proud to provide the Coeur d'Alene area with counseling services. For over 30 years he has served a number of outpatient and inpatient treatment centers, and has developed a holistic, eclectic approach to treatment. Dr. Deatherage uses key elements from a variety of theoretical frameworks in order to achieve deep emotional healing. His unique approach to therapy has guided countless patients down the road towards self-discovery.
Dr. Deatherage received his doctorate from the United States International University in San Diego. Before earning his PhD in Clinical Psychology, he was awarded a Masters Degree from Pepperdine University. He received his Bachelors degree from Loma Linda University. He has also received training from the Academy for Guided Imagery in Clinical Imagery, thus earning the designation of Professional Hypnotherapist. His other training includes a Clinical Psychology Internship at the US Air Force Medical Center in Ohio.
