About Beco Air and Heat:

Owners Mark and Laura were married in 1997. Laura is from Grand Saline, Tx. Mark is from Emory, Texas. They were both raised with small town values. They believe in faith, family and taking care or their neighbors. Laura was a school teacher for 22 years. She worked mainly as a special education teacher before leaving to help full time with the heating and air conditioning business. They have two children, Sy Cowden and Madisyn Cowden. Madisyn graduates in 2024 and is pursuing a business degree. Sy wants to be the best a/c technician in Texas or work for Lego. He can’t decide. Laura graduated valedictorian of her high school class and went on to received a Bachler’s degree from Texas A&M in education. She taught special education and art for 22 years. Laura was widely respected by he coworkers and loved by her students and won teacher of the year in 2015 before leaving to help run the business in 2019. After graduating high school Mark went to work for the local air conditioning company in his town during the day and went to school at night. He earned an Associate’s degree. After having there first child the wo decided to move to the DFW area. Mark started as a parts runner and helper working his way up. He has worked in all aspects of the HVAC business. He answered phones, ordered parts, filled inventory, ran service, installed equipment and whatever else needed to be done. Mark focused on the customers needs and became on of the most sought after technician trainers around. Training service technicians from all of the country. After moving to the metro plex Mark could see a big difference in customer service from the small town he was from to the environment he now lives in. Focusing on customer needs and the customer experience has always been his driving motivator. Mark and Laura purchased Beco Service Inc. From Bruce and Chanda Harville in 2019. Beco Service was established in 1974 and gained a reputation for great customer service and developing relationships. It was just the type of company Mark and Laura wanted. Although Covid -19 hit only months after purchasing the company they pushed forward trying to find ways to provided even better service. Mark started with the beco team. Weekly training dedicated to make sure every team member focused on exceeding the customers expectations. Next implementing a dispatching software to let the customer know when the technician is on the way so no one has to wait around all day for a service tech to show up. Laura crated the Beco club membership program. Understanding Covid-19 hit a lot o family’s hard we now have a monthly program that does not have to be paid all upfront. “Our core values must be ingrained in the company” What We Believe Always do the right thing even when the right thing is the hardest way Treat people the way you want to be treated Respect others (customers and coworkers).
