Rita's Art Therapy Studio provides an ideal, comfortable, therapeutic environment for learning. Our classes focus expression and creative, emotional release through painting and drawing for all ages of seniors and those with special needs. Our art classes are designed to help seniors and those with special needs to have a constructive and creative outlet in order to express themselves. Art offers a way to reimagine their emotional struggles through the work itself and release conflicting emotional difficulties through visualization, and recognition. When combined with a critique and students talk about their individual issues from a new creative perspective; a synergy results that combines the best of both worlds of cognitive therapy and visual art.
