The easiest way to approach any learning endeavor is through the teaching path.
The teaching path allows a depth of understanding that is not available through the student’s path. The student’s path is a comfortable and passive way of learning that, by nature, cannot lead very far.
Conversely, the teaching path pushes and propels teachers to go deeper, to research, to be flexible, humble, and open to the unexpected.
When teaching a person or a group, there is ceaseless moving and changing of the environment, which demands constant awareness, knowledge, and creativity. Although these qualities are available to those who practice yoga regularly, the Yoga teacher will draw on them more repeatedly and, consequently, he/she will go deeper into his or her own nature to perceive imminent changes in the class. Awareness, knowledge and creativity will then be developed to a higher degree of manifestation causing a deeper inner transformation.
Ultimately, the outcome is a profound wisdom that naturally emerges from the challenges and rewards of the teaching path.
Although technique is important, teaching Yoga is not about technique, it is mainly about inner transformation.
The Yogamatrix Teacher Training Program offers two Programs, the 200 hrs and the 300 hrs Advanced Teaching Program, both based on Yoga practice, philosophy and ethical lifestyle.
These Programs are designed for those who want to become a Certified Yoga teacher or those who seek to deepen their knowledge and personal Yoga practice. These unique programs consist of Hatha-Yoga and the theory underlying its practice: Raja-Yoga and Jnana-Yoga.
Nationally recognized by “Yoga Alliance”, the Teacher Training offered by Yogamatrix Studio is taught by Yoga Master Edely Wallace.
The 200 hr - Yoga Teacher Training (200hr-YTT) program consists of six modules. All modules of the 200hr-YTT are available within a one year period, every year. They can be taken in any sequence except for the YTT-Weeklong Level II and YTT-Weekend 204, which require attendance to YTT – Weeklong Level I. The participants can take the complete course at their own pace. We recommend practicing yoga regularly for at least six months prior to attending this program. A Yoga Teacher Training Manual is provided and only available to participants attending the Weeklong Yoga Teacher Training Level I. After completion of each YTT-Weeklong module, a certificate is issued. Participants will be able to teach a beginner’s Yoga class after YTT-Weeklong Level I is completed. Upon completion of all six modules a 200-Hour Certificate will be issued, which allows the participant to be part of Yoga Alliance Registry.
