  • Screenwriting/Playwriting

    This workshop will cover fundamentals of the craft of Dramatic Writing including; writing dramatic scenes, story structure, character, dialogue and revision. The instructor creates a supportive workshop environment that challenges students to the degree that each student wishes to be challenged.

  • Modern Dance/Choreography and Composition (10-12y/o)

    In this exciting new dance class, students will learn modern dance technique from Cunningham to Graham, Duncan to Hawkins to Taylor, practice dance improvisation, and learn basic choreography skills to develop their own dances. The program will culminate in a sharing of techniques learnined as well as original choreography created by the students.

    From rhythm to isolations, shuffles to jumps, turns and kicks, this Jazz/Tap class will be accessible and fun for one and all. The class will culminate in an informal sharing of new techniques and combinations learned.

    A great class if you want to try writing fiction or you are returning to the genre. Fiction 101 helps you understand and apply the basic elements of good fiction writing (dialogue, character, beginnings and endings) through writing exercises and assignments, peer discussion, and instructor feedback.

    Mark Twain said the difference between the right word and the almost right word is the "difference between lightning and lightning bug." The goal of this class is to help you find the right words. This workshop provides students the opportunity to generate, share, and get feedback on writing inspired by personal experiences.
