    Duration: 1 hour; Free. Mixed Martial Arts Striking: Looking for a physical challenge to intensify that workout routine? Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques and skills, from a mixture of martial arts traditions and non-traditions, to be used in competitions. The rules allow the use of both striking as well as grappling techniques, both while standing and on the ground. Such competitions allow martial artists of different backgrounds to compete. You'll be integrating the martial arts of boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and wrestling. Learn how striking can transition into grappling and how grappling can transition into striking. Through technique and situational drills, you will develop and learn how to utilize the right technique and select the best martial art for a given situation.

    • Train in mixed martial arts that integrate boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and wrestling

    • Practice striking and grappling, as well as transitioning between the two techniques

    • Improve your physical strength, your agility, and your flexibility

    • Enjoy a full contact sport that gives you a great overall workout

  • Muay Thai (All Levels)

    Duration: 1 hour; Free. Muay Thai (All Levels):Muay Thai or Thai Boxing, meaning "The Art of the Eight Limbs", is considered the toughest ring sport in the world due to its devastating striking techniques of punches, elbow strikes, knee strikes, and kicks. You think you got what it takes? Thai training methods develop devastating power, speed and superb cardio-vascular endurance as well as fighting spirit. During this class, you'll work on just that with the guidance of an experienced coach. Learn the necessary tools to effectively strike and defend yourself from any potentially harmful situation. You'll practice drilling, shadow boxing, and sparring. Some fundamental techniques you'll learn include slipping, block, parrying, catching, and evading. If you're looking for a challenge and you think you can take it on, then come give this Muay Thai class a try!

    • Train in Muay Thai, or Thai kickboxing -- the "Art of the Eight Limbs"

    • Learn the proper stances for punches, elbow strikes, knee strikes, and kicks

    • Sculpt and tone your body with drilling, shadow boxing, and sparring

  • Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu (No-Gi)

    Duration: 1 hour; Free. Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu (No-Gi): Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport and a self-defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. If you're looking to learn some practical and useful self-defense, look no further! The art promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend him or herself against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique--most notably by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the other person. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be trained for sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition or self-defense. Sparring (commonly referred to as 'rolling') and live drilling play a major role in training. You'll improve your overall physical strength, as well as your ability to gauge and overtake an opponent.

    • Train in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in a no gi class

    • Learn to defend yourself against a bigger, stronger opponent

    • Discover new moves and challenges for your body

    • Explore the martial arts in a safe setting
