The tearoom is a converted historical Colonial home dating back to the 1880's. The property was fully refurbished in 2007 and remodeled in 2014 to create the tearoom, with teapot chandeliers and wooden fireplace surround. Rooms have been opened up to form one large open plan area. Due to the nature of the dividing supporting walls, we have created 3 tearoom areas. We do not have closed off private rooms for hire. You will be sharing the tearoom with other guests, but defined areas are set aside for our group parties to give separation
The Parlor or Fireside Room
A section that can seat up to 25 in two long table configurations. A table for holding gifts is provided with an extra table for gift opening/ celebration cake presentation. The dining tables are covered in lace and china cups and glass goblets. The High Tea menu options are served on vintage ivory cake stands and fresh flowers are on the table. This is THE ideal space for a baby shower or bridal shower
The Royal Room
A section that seats up to 12. An additional table for holding and opening gifts is provided. This is the idea space for a Children's Birthday Party or a Milestone Birthday, or special gathering
The Main Tearoom
Available for events by request and must be booked prior to other reservations being taken. There is seating for up to 62 inside and a further 20 outside in good weather
Party Favors and Celebration Cake
You can also request party favors and an iced celebration cake to your own specification, baked by our craft bakers on site. We recommend coming in to view the space and discuss your options. Joining us for lunch is also a great way of trying out the food, space and service before you commit
Can the whole tearoom be hired out?
If you would like to hire the tearoom out of hours for a private function, a hire fee of $150 would be charged. If you'd like to hire the whole tearoom on a Saturday or Sunday during normal opening times for a private wedding party we charge a fee of $1500 and this includes tables, chairs, table cloths, china and glass wear. Food & Drinks in addition. Please call to discuss requirements
Booking a party is easy.

Tina's Traditional Table Etiquette Classes
Tina's Traditional Table Etiquette Classes are designed to help prepare both adults and children for a formal dining experience, whether that be in a smart restaurant or as part of a formal social occasion
Etiquette, in general, and dining etiquette, in particular, are often forgotten today.
At its very core, dining etiquette is a set of guidelines and techniques designed to make the dining experience a graceful, courteous and respectful process that embodies the art of making others feel comfortable and confident as they eat a meal
Dining is intended to be an enjoyable experience.
The experience is enhanced when the food is wonderful, the conversation is vibrant, and the service is attentive and you feel comfortable and confident on how you are expected to behave. If your experience is wonderful, a successful dining experience will come naturally
Our overall training goals for this class are for you:
To increase your comfort and awareness with the dining experience.
To increase your knowledge and familiarity with common dining etiquette.
To enhance your ability to interact with a diverse group of people in social situations associated with dining.
Table settings, napkin and silverware usage.
The difference between European and American Etiquette.
