Dr. Fernández obtained his veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and graduated with honors. In 2011 he completed a rigorous Residency in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care at Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists. He became a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) in 2012. He previously served as an Associate Professor of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. His professional interests include the treatment of sepsis, intravenous lipid therapy, toxicology, emergency surgery and mechanical ventilation.
