It's my quick tip Thursday, what is the cost to repair water damage?
Black water is the most dangerous type of water that can contaminate your home. It comes from sewer lines below the trap or from gray water that has sat unaddressed for some time. It also comes from flood waters.
Black water can contain pathogens, mold and other contaminants that can be harmful to health.
When dealing with black water our PuroClean technicians will first protect your belongings then remove any excess water and dispose of any contaminated items.
They will then clean and sanitize the area with antimicrobial solutions and deodorizers. Finally they will set up our "Quick Dry" equipment to evaporate any remaining water and eliminate any residual moisture.
It's my quick tip Thursday, try using a lint roller to clean your window and door screens
Clean your window screens with a lint roller. To remove dust, cobwebs and other debris from mesh window and door screens simply use a lint roller. Expose a new fresh surface of the roller and wipe away the debris. For those screens that are out of reach you can tape the roller to a broom handle or other extension pole.
It may not work in all cases but it's worth a try

It's my quick tip Thursday, an alternative for cleaning and shining your hardwood floors
Shine your hardwood floors without chemicals
You can shine your hardwood floors with 4 simple ingredients ; mix 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol, 2 cups warm water, 1 tablespoon of castile soap and 1/2 cup of white vinegar, mix together spritz and mop dry, your floors will shine.
When you clean your hardwood floor you are actually cleaning the finish on the wood, not the wood itself. Most modern finishes are pretty tough and will not be harmed by the vinegar but if you are concerned about that leave the vinegar out. Yuma not get it quite as shiny but it still better than some chemical laden solution.
