    Duration: 90 min; Free; If the best way that you learn is through hands-on experience, then this kata class is for you! Kata, meaning "form" in Japanese, refers to a simulated fight in the context of karate. First you'll learn how to combine different karate maneuvers into a sequence. Then this routine will be used during simulated fights with your opponents. You will have the chance to practice your kicks, punches and blocks before the fight. The goal is to make the simulated fight as realistic as possible without sacrificing safety. Your balance and flexibility will improve as you learn to take on new opponents and defeat them.

    • Study karate through kata, or simulated fight

    • Combine different karate maneuvers into a sequence you'll use in the fight simulation

    • Practice your kicks, punches, and blocks to improve your strength and concentration

  • Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

    Duration: 90 min; Free; Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a favorite training program among UFC fighters! In this class, you'll learn the fundamentals and basics of this groundwork-based martial art. You experienced coach will help you refine your techniques, teaching you moves like submission grappling and joint locks. You'll build your confidence as you learn to better defend yourself. Jiu Jitsu is perfect for when you're caught in a dangerous situation with a larger and stronger opponent. Through ground work, you'll be able to best your opponent! Tone your body, increase your strength, and improve your flexibility! This class will give you the chance to train with some of the best Jiu Jitsu practitioners.

    • Study Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the guidance of experienced coaches

    • Practice submission grappling and joint locks to take down your opponent

    • Learn new self-defense moves that will protect you from a stronger, larger enemy

    • Be amazed at how you can condition your body react quickly and increase your strength

  • Martial Arts Fundamentals

    Duration: 40 min; Free; "It's all about the fundamentals," says Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley, and he has the right idea. If you want to succeed in martial arts or any sport, you have to master the fundamentals first. During this class. you will learn the basic stances, maneuvers, and skills that can be seen in different martial art programs. Work on your self-discipline, breathing, footwork, positions and strikes. Although each martial art program is different, there are overlapping similarities in the basics. You will focus on sparring and repetition to help you develop these skills.
