1st Acupuncture Treatment
The initial treatment involves a complete Chinese medical diagnosis. Lina Yerkes L.Ac will review your health history form and ask detailed questions regarding your health and chief complaint. A tongue, pulse and abdominal diagnosis will also be performed. Once a pattern and treatment plan have been designed, sterile, very fine and single-use disposable needles are inserted at specific points. Treatments are for the most part painless and last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Many people feel deeply relaxed and also fall asleep during their treatments and come of the session feeling refreshed and rejuvenated

On your first visit Carmela Yerkes L.Ac will get to know you and evaluate the overall quality, quantity and balance of Qi (vital energy) coursing within your body.
She will use various diagnostic skills to achieve this which include, but are not limited to, questions, tongue and pulse diagnosis: (assessing the quality and variation of the pulse in six positions on each wrist). Abdominal and meridian points palpation (Meridians are like rivers where Qi (vital energy) flows inside of us.
