Extended Family Sessions

• Extended Family Sessions

  • Extended Family Photo Sessions

    are one of our more popular family photo sessions. Extended (typically multi-generational) Family Photo Sessions happen when any portrait participants are not part of the immediate family. This would include extended family members such as grandparents, aunt, uncle, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, cousins, grandchildren, etc. who are not members of the immediate family. Extended Family Photo Sessions, typically for larger multi-generational family groups, are designed to be flexable in order to meet the needs of the diverse circumstance, taste and age of participating family members. While there are several on-and-off campus outdoor choices available, the basic in-studio session fee is only $125, which may be "split" by participating family groups. The In-Studio session fee also includes three family (poses) groupings, although more may be added at $15 each. Sessions have "no-time-limits.".

  • Our professional photographers

    are experienced at capturing timeless images of large or small families. We love creating timeless photos unique to each aspect of the extended family. The frosty Colorado Winter is beautiful outdoor example of an Extended Family Portrait.

  • Prints may be purchased as needed from our "a la carte" gift print or wall portrait menus.

    Each image selected for print is professionally edited by our staff of graphically trained experts who employ the worlds most powerful digital photo editing software, so that every family member looks their very best.

  • Before setting a firm date and time for your Extended Family photo session

    it is strongly recommended to take advantage our our FREE pre-planning, consulation. This important planning session will help assure your extended family Indoor or Outdoor photo-session is fun but productive for all involved. Proper advance planning helps make sure the photo session will be a tremendous success.

• What is the big deal with Senior Portraits anyway?

  • For your whole life

    your parents have been capturing you as you grow. They have taken yearly photos, family photos, and pictures of special occasions to capture your memorable moments.

  • Now, you are a senior

    You are on top, and all grown up. To honor that, you need a good picture. And not just good- amazing. With Picture It Studios, you can get a professional shoot wherever you want, wearing whatever you want.

  • You can wear your homecoming formal

    your sports uniform, your letterman jacket, whatever you like. And we can include props in your photos too. We can showcase your artsy side, your sporty side, your flirty side, or your silly side. The options for senior sessions are limitless!.

• Let's Get Started!

  You are finally here, senior year! The first big thing to do is take senior photos for the yearbook. We are glad you've chosen Picture It for your photos. We are very experienced and will make sure you have fun and that we create amazing photos!.

  • Pick a Package

    Look through our senior collections and find one that fits your budget and needs. Note that additional photos and items can be purchased in addition to your package.

  • Pick a Location

    Be sure to pick a location that speaks to your personal interests and personality and feels comfortable to you. We have a few locations we shoot at regularly or your can pick a favorite spot of your own.

  • Schedule Your Appointment

    Contact us and set up your appointment. Mornings or late afternoon / early evening appointments usually work best for outdoor photo sessions, but we can accommodate other times and dates if necessary.

  • Make a Deposit

    While you are not required to pay in full for your package until you see your photos and choose, a $100 deposit is due before every senior session. This helps us secure the staff, location, and appointment time. The deposit will work towards your payment of your pictures. It is not an additional fee.

  • Choose Your Look

    Figure out what you are going to wear and what props you want in your photos. Narrow down your ideas to fit with your outfit changes. Pinterest is an excellent tool to help you figure out what type of photos you like and our photographers are always willing to consult with you on your choices.

  • Get Ready

    Plan to have your hair and nails professionally groomed before your session. Young men, don't forget to shave! We recommend HeadsUp Salon which is in the Southlands and very close to Picture It Studios. However, you are welcome to prepare at home or wherever you like.

  • Let's Go!

    Take your pictures. Be sure to relax and have realistic expectations of yourself. Bring a friend or family member if you like, to help you act naturally and make you laugh.

  • Let's Look!

    After your shoot, it's time to look at the pictures! You will skim through your photos and eliminate down to your favorites for prints. The photographer will edit your selected poses for skin imperfections, debris, and other minor details and size them to prepare them for the printing process.

  • All Done!

    Once you pay, you will get most of your prints in about a week. Large prints and special orders should arrive in about 2-3 weeks. All you have left to do is study hard, play hard, and have a great senior year!.

• Portraits Worth Framing

  There are several things that make a photo look great, and one of the most important is the subject-YOU! In order for us to take pictures that truly express your personality and show off what you love, we need your help. Here are a few tips for looking just right on your photo day!.

  • Choose your clothes wisely

    This is important. You want to choose clothes that you are comfortable in while expressing you personal style.

  • Choose outfits that look put together

    without any distracting elements (no logos or loud patterns and colors, no wording) that you feel express how you want to be remembered, but have a touch of class. Avoid see-through clothing, strapless outfits, and spaghetti straps as your yearbook may have regulations against these. Simple is usually better, and accessories are a must for girls.

  • Be sure you dress from head to toe

    and wear clean shoes, but bring a pair of easy slip on shoes that are okay walking in, to help keep them clean during your shoot.

  • Make your clothing changes simple

    You don't want to change all of your clothes for every change. We suggest bringing 1 formal outfit and the rest of your outfits be quick changes in casual clothes. For example: bring 2 shirts, one pair of jeans, and a different over shirts or jacket. You can get several different looks with only a few simple changes.

• Choose Props & Accessories

  Our seniors have brought in anything from trombones to footballs to their pets!.

  • We can even arrange to go to the pool

    track, or golf course if you want action shots of you doing what you love. But it doesn't have to be music or sports, or even school related. If you love comic books or reading, bring books. If you love your pet, they can be in the photos too. Everybody has something. Show off what your something is!.

• Look Great!

  • Get yourself made up and looking as clean

    and put together as possible. Guys should groom facial hair and cut and clean their fingernails. Girls should get their hair, makeup and nails done. We recommend Heads Up Salon in the Southlands if you decide to do this professionally, however, you are welcome to do it yourself. and we are sure you will look fabulous!.

    If photos are needed for the corporate web-site or other corporate advertising needs, our professionals will come to your office and create the necessary photos. This is a great option for modeling contracts, sales or political campaigns, as well as businesses that wish to be photographed either "in-studio" or "on-location."
