H.i.i.T "Slim Down"
Start Time: 4:30 pm; Teacher: April Y.; Duration: 30 minutes. High intensity interval Training. We are lighting up that "fat burning furnace" with in you and jumpstarting your Summer Slim Down. This 30 min class includes short burst of High Intensity exercises( i.e.: sprints) followed by medium to low intensity for recovery. Repitions of 3-8 per exercise. Full Moon Paddle Tour

Aerial Fitness and Hot Yoga Studio is the premier Fitness studio on the East End of Long Island.
Aerial Fitness and Hot Yoga is a community of individuals who come together to energize and balance their bodies in a supportive and challenging environment. Founded in June of 2009 by April Yakaboski, Aerial Fitness and Hot Yoga is always on the cutting edge of trends in fitness, health and wellness. We have two stories of beautiful spaces to accommodate many types of training modalities in an exclusive studio environment.
Our first floor houses the TRX, Kettle Bells, Warrior Ropes and more for strength, sculpt and cardio classes.
You will also see our aerial silks suspended from the ceiling for Aerial Yoga and Aerial Fitness classes. On the second level is our spacious Hot Yoga room where we "sweat, move and flow." The heat is centralized to warm the whole room softly and evenly. You will love the spacious and bright rooms overlooking vibrant Main Street, giving you a Manhattan studio feel. We have employed the ancient Chinese method of Feng Shui to help us balance our studio spaces and create happy, successful energy in all the rooms. We have mats available to rent or buy, or bring your own. Cleanliness is paramount at the studio, it is unfailingly spotless and fresh. We have relaxing spaces on both floors for our clients to rest and socialize or browse the boutique for clothing, yoga accessories, Alez and Ani jewelry and more. We always go the extra mile to maintain an environment that is comfortable for everyone in every way.
The Riverhead Pilates Studio is also located on the second floor.
Aerial Fitness and Hot Yoga clients have immediate access to a full service, classic based Pilates studio directed by Vivian Piccone Jung (who is the 2012 winner of Best Pilates Teacher in Dan's Hamptons Paper). The studio accommodates people of all fitness levels, including post-rehab and those with osteoporosis, bladder issues, back and neck pain etc. Vivian also works with athletes (such as golfers, equestrians, and dancers) to bring their performance to new levels. Riverhead Pilates offers private and semi-private sessions on the Pilates apparatus by appointment. You will experience a true Pilates Method progam at Riverhead Pilates with care and understanding of your individual needs.

April Yakaboski
April is the founder and owner of Aerial Fitness and Hot Yoga Studio. Fitness has been April's passion for her whole life. A native of the East End of Long Island, she would skip out of school early to attend Laura and Patricks famous Step II classes in Hampton Bays back in the '90's. Laura and Patrick were her first exercise inspiration. From there she pursued her passion for health and alternative wellness at Trinity College where she obtained her certification as a Traditional Naturopath. She attended the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City for certification as Holistic Health Counselor. She earned certification in TRX levels I and II and she is a Joschi Yoga certified yoga instructor. April studied Aerial Arts with Ivo Guervieve (a former Cirque du Soleil performer) at MMAC in New York City. Continuing her education in 2013 by completing 50 hours achieving her BROGA certification and her Personal Trainer Certificate in June 2013. April continues to keep A.F.H.Y on the cutting edge with her latest addition of Tava Paddle Boards designed specifically for her Paddle Yoga & Fitness on the water Classes! Paddle Board Classes & rentals offered from May- October to keep you in shape and having fun!. Bringing her wellness, nutrition and fitness interests together, she founded Aerial Fitness and Hot Yoga. April wanted to create a special place that was innovative and fun, wholistic and cutting edge - something that did not exist before Aerial Fitness and Hot Yoga came to town. April teaches a variety of classes and is constantly cultivating new fitness and wellness programs. She brings her Naturopathic knowledge into her teaching for a well balanced curriculum that always keeps the whole body and mind in consideration.
Christina Farrell, BS, LMT
Christina is a licenced massage therapist in practice for 22 years. She is certified in Traditional Thai Massage and teaches an inspirational Vinyasa style yoga that incorporates both the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga. She draws on her deep knowledge of the body and its energy paths in her teaching. Her students benefit from the clarity of her explanations in class. Her restorative yoga class is a great foundation in the fundamentals of yoga that will leave you feeling energized and inspired.
Jessica
Jessica teaches a spiritually grounding practice of Vinyasa that ranges from a gentle to vigorous flow. She encourages the use of slow, consistent breath to move gracefully from one pose to the next and provides adjustments that allow for a safe practice and the opportunity for spiritual, mental and physical growth. She encourages her students to take the lessons they learn on their mat into their lives, and allows them space to explore themselves on a deeper level. Coming from an athletic (over two decades of soccer) and spiritual background, she provides a good balance for the mind and body. Jessica has been practicing and studying yoga for over 10 years and teaching since May of 2012. She feels blessed to have the chance to share the many amazing benefits of a Vinyasa practice with her students.

Ryan Farrell
Ryan leads a practice that incorporates breath and muscle strength in an effort to revitalize the body and bring awareness back to one's movement. He draws upon his experience in martial arts as well as yoga to create a physical and active class in an effort to help students reach a remembered sense of well-being. Joan Mlodynia
Joan is a certified TRX instructor, a full time elementary school teacher, mother of two sons and fitness enthusiast. For twenty years Joan has enjoyed life on the East End of Long Island making time for 5K runs, bike rides and anything else that gets her up and moving. She is a dedicated TRX instructor and believes in the power of suspension training, where your body becomes a machine. Joan's classes are energetic, challenging and upbeat. She strives to keep the muscles "confused" by using a variety of equipment to strengthen vital core muscles while burning calories and fat for a class that is never boring.
Stacy Curcio
Stacy is a proud mother of two beautiful young girls. She has over 14 years of experience with One on one training, team training and weight management. Stacy has held the National Level NPC Fitness Athlete for over 6 years. Stacy is Certified ISSA PT, Strength & Conditioning, Plyometrics & Power Trainer, Sports nutritionist, Certified YogaFit Yoga Instructor, among many of her other certifications and accomplishments. AF & HY is excited and welcomes Stacy to the Fitness family.
Rachel Goodale
Rachel is a certified TRX instructor that puts enthusiasm into her workout routines. She enjoys an active lifestyle; running, biking, scuba diving, standup paddleboarding, and anything else that keeps her moving. Rachel is a very health conscious vegetarian and loves to tend to her own organic vegetable garden. "The body is a mirror of how we live our lives."
Chris Picarello
Chrissy is a certified Mat Pilates instructor and has been studying Pilates for over six years. She trained with Liz Gillies, master Pilates teacher, star of several videos and author of "100 Ways to Work Out on the Ball". Chrissy teaches the Hot Pilates and Pilates Mat classes at Aerial Fitness. She recently gave birth to her first child and kept up with her teaching and training until the final weeks of her pregnancy. She credits Pilates with her quick recovery from birthing and her general overall stamina. Chris brings her knowledge of anatomy to her classes and educates her students about their structure as they strengthen their cores. Her classes are fun and educational as well as a great workout.

They have a great variety of classes,some more demanding than others: TRX (love), pilates, aerial yoga (the upside down stuff:), zumba, and more! The classes are challenging and fun - great environment; small groups-varied ages! I tried an aerial yoga class - definitely challenging - but nobody makes you do anything. Your own pace, which I love. I highly recommend if you're looking to switch it up.

Aerial yoga / aerial silks is the most amazing class. I never thought that I would really like it becuase it was so different form anything that I have ever done; having been afraid of heights and never having done any kind of gymnastics, it was a true challenge. After four classes and getting used to the nuances of aerial and having the silks wrapped around your hips, I can't believe that I am saying this but I love inversions. The strectches in silks is amazinly different from any other work out and as "Pink" has come to recognize, (she does aerial work outs when she tours), aerial yoga/aerial stretch is the most amazing work out I have ever had. And yes, having an amazing teacher as April who has surpassed her ability to teach and run a studio with such professional classes which go beyond reaching the high bar is truly responsible for such.
