  We are excited to now offer online class signup! Just click the class you want and add it to your cart! You can still call or stop in the shop to sign up as well! Basic sewing supplies and machines are required for all classes. We have a few classroom machines available for those who need them. Please let us know prior to the class if you need a machine so we can have it set up and ready for you.

• Class Policies

  • Class fees are required at the time of registration.

    Supply lists are given only when fees are paid. 10% discount is available to all students for class supplies.

  • Each class has its own maximums and minimum for sign up.

    Sign up early to avoid cancellation.

  • If a class is cancelled, the full amount paid for the class fee is refunded.

    There are no refunds unless Olive Juice Quilts cancels the class.

  • Please call or stop in to the shop for sign up; no email sign ups will be taken.

  • If You Do Not Have Sewing Machine to Use, Don't Worry!

    We have a limited supply of class machines available to those who do not have their own. Please make sure to let us know at the time of sign up that you would like to use one so that we can reserve a machine for you. Machine use fee of $5 applies. This fee covers a bobbin and a Mettler 50wt 164yd spool of thread.

  Our educators are trained on the use of the machines sold at Olive Juice; It is your responsibility to have a working knowledge of your machine.

    For those who have the passion to learn the art of sewing with basic understanding of machine use. We will teach you the sewing basics.

    For the starter sewer who knows the basics of sewing and machine use.

  • Advanced Beginner

    For the sewer who has done a few projects, has basic sewing knowledge and knows the ropes on their machine.

  • Intermediate

    For the sewer who has quilting and sewing skills and knows how to use their machine to its capabilities.

  • Advanced

    For the sewer who has vast knowledge and experience in quilting and sewing and can use their machine to its full capabilities.

  • Threads

    We use only high quality quilting thread on our machine. We have a large variety of colors to choose from with stock thread colors included in your quilting price.

  • Turn Around Time

    We work very hard to get your quilt done as quickly as we can. Our usual turn around time for "overall" quilting is 4 weeks. We strive to have your custom quilt done as quickly as possible and can quote you a time frame, based on the current demand. If you need your quilt by a certain time, please make sure to let us know so we can do our best to get it to you! We do offer a rush fee which will expedite your quilt. Please be aware, the holiday season usually brings a longer turn around time.

  • Batting

    We offer a few different options for batting for you to choose from. Hobbs 80/20 is our most popular, but we also offer wool batting, Polydown Plus batting, and Warm & White batting. If you have your own batting you would like to use, just let us know!

  • Designs

    Our Statler Stitcher allows us to offer many different designs, both computerized and hand guided.

  • Size Requirements of your Quilt:

    Please remember to leave your backing fabric 4 larger on all sides. This means your backing will be 8-10 wider and longer than your quilt top.
