Local World War II veteran turns 100
A San Antonio resident celebrated a big birthday Wednesday. Ed Salinas turned 100 years old Wednesday. He is also one of fewer than 500,000 living World War II veterans. Salinas was born in La Presa in 1918 and moved to San Antonio later in life.
