A heat wave is hitting the Southeast. Braving the heat was even more of a feat Tuesday. Temperatures almost hit the hundreds in our area. In fact, the high was 99 degrees - that's the hottest it's been since July 21 of 2016. "I basically just carry water with me, because if I need to just throw it out on one of us, just to keep ourselves cool during the summer. So, yeah, that's basically that's how we've kept ourselves cool," saidJewel Watford, a Chattanooga parent.
