Rockpoint Group, a real estate private equity firm based in Boston, has launched its newest real estate fund, Rockpoint Growth & Income Real Estate Fund III, according to IREI’s FundTracker database. The firm did not comment on its fundraising efforts.
The new fund will follow a core-plus, value-added investment strategy and will invest in office and multifamily assets in major coastal markets in the United States. Rockpoint is seeking to raise $2 billion for the fund in total equity commitments, according to IREI’s FundTracker database.
Investors who committed to previous funds in the series include the Indiana Public Retirement System and the Public Employees Retirement Association of New Mexico.
Through Rockpoint and a predecessor firm, the co-founders with others have sponsored 13 commingled funds and related co-investment vehicles, raised approximately $19 billion in capital commitments, and invested or committed to invest in 405 transactions with a total peak capitalization in excess of $55 billion.
