Tremont's 21st Annual Cooking Matters Event
Tremont 647 and Sister Sorel are closing their doors April 1st (read Andy's farewell letter here ). March 12th we are hosting our last ever Cooking Matters Benefit Dinner after starting the event 21 years ago. In typical Andy Husbands style, he is making sure this last Cooking Matters event is bigger than ever before! He is bringing together 14 of Boston's finest chefs to treat you to a classic steak-house dinner. The night begins with a bourbon and appetizer reception followed by a multi-course, family-style, classic steak-house dinner with pairings. Dinner will feature a surf & turf entree (thanks to Island Creek Oysters and Grill 23 chefs) and be accompanied by traditional steak-house sides from the chefs, followed by bread pudding from Joanne Chang.
Annual Tapas Challenge
Over the years we have hosted several Tapas Challenge events. This year we are hoping to host the biggest and baddest of them all. Chef Andy Husbands will compete against Chef Jason Santos and Chef Tim Maslow in order to be crowned, King of Tapas. A battle so good, you most definitely won't want to miss
Wednesday, January 24th at 6pm.
About the event:
With each course comes a common ingredient the chefs must then incorporate into their dish. This year they include shrimp, chicken and pork.
Every course will be judged (BY YOU) based on three categories, taste, presentation and creativity.
The price of your ticket will include an appetizer reception with event cocktail, dinner, tax and gratuity. Additional beverages are available for purchase.
